Its already been a crazy week and it’s just Monday! With Thanksgiving coming up and an impending blizzard here in Denver, I’m just now getting the to opportunity to sit down and write! Given that Thanksgiving is one the busiest travel days, I’m sure we will all be stuck in lines and waiting on flights to take off. And for that I have a list of great podcasts to help you pass the time and maybe even learn something new!
My Favorite Murder – This is my favorite true crime podcast, its funny, serious, and easy. Karen Kilgariff’s and Georgia Hardstark’s witty banter and love for each other is apparent from the very first episode. Listening to My Favorite Murder is like listening to your best friends tell you an incredible story. For a great episode check out episode 105 – Proclensity.
Criminal – Another podcast favorite of mine! This one teeters on the edge of true crime. Criminal ventures into different areas of crime telling you a new story with every listen! This Podcast is also an easy one to binge. If you’re looking for a good episode check out episode 51 – Money Tree. It had my jaw on the floor the whole episode!
Chapo – This podcast is a quick listen with only 11 episodes. Its a deep dive into El Chapo and why his drug cartel has been so successful. Its a very interesting podcast and a great for learning something new!
The Clearing – A podcast all about how a woman figures out that her father is a serial killer and ends up being the one to help bring him in. As you listen you will get a first hand experience of the emotions that April Balasico goes through while trying to cope with the fact that her father isn’t who she thought he was.
Swindled – In this podcast the host ‘A Concerned Citizen’ shows the darker side of White Collar Crimes. The host exposes the effects that white collar crime has on many regular citizens, as well as the companies/people who are willing to do anything to gain an upper hand. If you’re looking for a good episode check out the episode The Pharma Bro (Martin Shkreli).
Ear Hustle – Have you ever wondered what prison is like on the inside? Ear Hustle is a produced by some of the inmates of San Quentin. This podcast is a great dive into everything that there is to know about life in prison and how the men inside of San Quentin survive their prison sentences.
